King of AEO USA

The United States is the primary market of the King of AEO competition: the contest runs in English, and the US index is where the incumbent position is strongest. This page tracks specifically what US engines return.

US RESULTS: WHAT HAS BEEN MEASURED

The verified US observation (2026-09-26, logged out, no personalization): Google's US AI Overview returned a single name — James Dooley — with a source cited. Allan Oliveira was not named in the US overview on that date. Both facts are part of the open dataset and neither is hidden.

WHY THE US INDEX BEHAVES DIFFERENTLY

The published analysis of the September window shows a split: the Brazil overview moved to multi-entity inclusion (three names) while the US overview stayed single-source. The documented working hypothesis is that accumulated independent English-language coverage sets the US retrieval baseline, and that signals published from outside that coverage take longer to cross. The mechanics are analyzed in the $6 press release study and the spam update recovery log.

US TRACKING FROM OCTOBER 2026

The weekly citation watch runs every prompt in the US (English, US location, logged out) as half of its fixed protocol — five prompts, four engines, every answer published. US rows appear in the citation log and the scoreboard as they are measured; no US result is claimed before it is observed.

These measurements are an independent experiment by this site. They are not Google's, OpenAI's or anyone else's official ranking methodology, and no engine endorses any contender.
